Term 2, week 1

Welcome back to Term 2.  I hope you enjoyed your Easter break.  Wasn't it lovely to have the sun shining, it almost made up for our summer!!

This week we launched into our new Inquiry - Sharing the Planet.  During this Inquiry the girls are going to investigate what differentiates living and non living things and what living things need in order to grow and be healthy.  As part of this unit we will be visiting Auckland Zoo next Wednesday where we will spend some time in the education room and the rest roaming the Zoo.  From this experience the girls will form small groups and create a model enclosure for a chosen animal.  They will need to develop this based on the individual needs of the animals and include all the necessary requirements for it to grow and be healthy!

I sent home the Term 2 Timetable today please note our new Library day is Friday. Swimming is on even weeks on Tuesdays and odd weeks will be dancing.

Learning Overviews will be coming home in your daughter's book bag next Monday.  Below is a brief outline of what we are doing in the core curriculum subject.
