*  On Wednesday it is Year 1's turn to bring a scooter to school for lunch time use. Remember you must also bring a helmet if you choose to ride a scooter.

* On Monday 26 November the Year 4's are having a Market Day. The girls have been encouraged to offer to do jobs at home to earn some spending money - so take this opportunity to encourage your girls to do some chores!

Diwali

Diwali

Miss Fava and I were able to  borrow beautiful clothes and jewellry from Ishani's Mum (1FA) to use on Diwali day.

It was great to see all the girls dress up in bright colours. The elephant in the picture was made by Carly from Year 13 for her Technology assignment. She has made it especially for the Year 1 and 2 classes. Sasha the elephant has been designed to store ipads inside the lockable box. It has a smaller box underneath to hold the power leads so that they can be charged while being stored. The trunks are used for handles and the power cord hangs out like a tail. Next time you come to the classroom come and see  how beautifully decorated and how fantastic it is.

The girls replicated henna tattoos with  glitter pens

Decorated divas

Sivakami brought us in a rangoli frame for the girls to fill in with coloured rice.
They really enjoyed taking great care with this activity.

Term 4

Ladybirds

Last week we had a ladybird poem called 'Ladybird'. The girls took home their ladybird houses. It would appear that there were not many ladybirds around the back of the Junior School. Apparently if you have a place in your garden with lots of flowers or a vegetable garden particularly with aphids the ladybirds will come and live in the bamboo. You can squirt perfume or soak the little bit of sponge with sugar water to attract them. Good Luck! The gardeners showed us the 'Ladybird Poppies' up by the Chapel. We thought they were gorgeous and well worth a look if you are going past.

Wacky Shoe Day

Thank you so much for all the effort you took to provide your girls with some wacky shoes. It has been a very exciting day! Here are some photos of the shoes in 1FR.
